Post-Service Skin Care

  • Skin Cleansing: Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow, waterline, or lip for 24 hours after your service. When washing with water, be sure to pat dry.

  • Skin Care:

    • Brows: Clients should keep brows lightly glossed with A & D Ointment or Vaseline for 3 - 4 days.

    • Eyeliner: Clients should use A & D Ointment or Vaseline around the treated area for 2-3 days following service. Clients should use a new mascara following service to avoid contamination.

    • Lips: Clients should sue a good lip balm following service.

  • Clients should avoid the following:

    • Picking or scratching as it can pull off scabs prematurely and cause patchy results or scarring.

    • Aerobic exercise or vigorous physical activity, tanning, exposure to UV/UVA Rays, and chlorine  within the first 2 weeks.

    • Chemical or laser treatments for at least 5 days after the service.

    • Retin-A or Glycolic Acid and peroxide on any areas during the healing process

    •

Reminder: Because this is a cosmetic tattoo process, with time, pigment may fade and color may change according to metabolism, skin type, medications, age, smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, Retin-A, and glycolic acids. Clients should allow at least 1 week, or 1 month for darker skin tones, for the actual color to reappear. During the healing process, the appearance may seem uneven and harsh to those not involved in the designing. Immediately after, color will appear too dark, this will eventually soften. Six days after, the color will generally appear to be too light. Ten days after, color will generally show more, in line with the original design. Note, touch-up maintenance work in the future is necessary to maintain a fresh appearance.
